Industrial Design & Product Development

Create innovative physical products that captivate users and elevate your brand identity.

Industrial Design (ID)

Designing exceptional physical products is at the heart of what we do. From concept to market launch, we guide our clients through the entire process, ensuring seamless implementation and impactful results.

Our approach focuses on creating solutions that resonate with users, crafting product expressions and experiences that strengthen and evolve our clients' brands. By combining strategic, brand-focused industrial design with an iterative, user-centered methodology, we deliver products that stand out.

Whether designing for the next generation of products or creating visions for future strategic initiatives, our work serves as a catalyst for innovation and brand growth.

Design Languages & Systems

Our expertise goes beyond creating individual, branded product designs. We specialise in developing comprehensive strategies and design language systems that help to define, plan, and implement design across product portfolios.

These can span across various product categories and encompass different levels of value differentiation.

These tools are based on the brand identity and take into account the competitive- and technology-landscape as well as trends. These are developed by closely working together with key client stakeholders in design management, brand, and strategy. Once these systems are established, we ensure they are carefully evolved over time, keeping them relevant and up-to-date.

Physical Experience Design

Whether creating experiences for an upcoming product or developing visionary, strategic concepts, our experience design approach ensures that each design represents as the perfect, powerful touchpoint within the broader user journey.

For us, a successful product design always begins with a deep understanding of the user, the context in which the product is used, and the entire journey surrounding it.

It's essential to consider all related services and interactions that users may encounter. This holistic perspective allows us to craft meaningful and cohesive product experiences that resonate with users.

Product Development & Engineering

Transforming visionary designs into successful real-world products requires meticulous planning, deep expertise in design and manufacturing processes, and close collaboration between design and engineering.

To ensure a smooth and efficient process, it's crucial to establish this synergy from the very start. We achieve this by seamlessly integrating with client internal teams and their existing partners or by bringing in our trusted long-term partner, ONYX Engineering.

Color Material & Finish (CMS)

An important part in developing strong branded product expressions and unique designs lies in our expertise in color, material, and finish (CMF) design. We develop CMF concepts in tandem with the overall design concept and product development process, whether for individual products or across strategic design languages that span entire portfolios.

Our approach is deeply informed by critical factors such as user insights, brand DNA, the competitive landscape, and both general and industry-specific CMF trends. Additionally, making meaningful CMF design decisions requires a thorough understanding of industry regulations and manufacturing processes.

Prototyping & Model Making

In our creative and iterative approach, it's essential to utilize the right tools and processes to bring ideas to life through models and prototypes at every stage of the design and development process.

For three-dimensional objects and experiences, early prototyping is particularly vital. It facilitates important internal discussions, allows for stakeholder feedback, and serves as a valuable tool in user research studies.

These prototypes can range from quick, simple models to more refined, interactive physical prototypes, often paired with software UI click-dummies. In addition to our in-house prototypes, we collaborate with trusted local partners to create "looks-like, feels-like" appearance models.
