Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026

For the Qwello CP Series – Next Generation

A second international design honour this year for the charge points we developed together with Qwello.

Following the iF Design Award 2026 announced in March, the same product family has now received a second major international distinction: the Qwello CP Series – Next Generation has been honoured with a Red Dot Award: Product Design 2026.

The Red Dot Award is one of the most respected product design competitions in the world. An international, independent jury reviews each submission in person against criteria including degree of innovation, functional quality, formal quality, ergonomics and durability. Across thousands of entries from companies and design studios around the world, the jury selects only those products that demonstrate, in their words, outstanding design and quality.

Working closely with Qwello's engineering and product teams in Munich, we developed the industrial design and physical user experience of the next-generation charge points - the CP21 dual-display variant and the CP22 single-display version, optimised for narrower urban spaces. The series is built around a recognisable design language: the iconic triangular pole, intuitive illuminated touchpoints, a compact footprint that fits diverse street settings, robust weather and vandalism resistance, and a seamless connection between the physical station and Qwello's digital services. Every detail was designed to be clear, durable, and unmistakably present in the urban landscape.

Qwello operates more than 16.500 charging points across European cities including Frankfurt, Hamburg, Berlin, Stockholm and London. Bringing a coherent, recognisable design language to that scale of public infrastructure is exactly the kind of brief that motivates us - the work has to function in any weather, any street, any city, for years, and still feel like a single, considered family of products.

Two international design awards in one year for the same series - the iF Design Award and now the Red Dot - is a strong endorsement of the design direction we set together with Qwello, and of the team behind it.
